Hi, beautiful soul. I’m Laken Champagne (the Goofy Goober in the picture to the right), the heart and healing hands behind Sacred Pathways Healing. My work weaves together intuitive coaching, sound healing, and holistic wisdom to help people come home to their authentic selves. I believe that healing can be soft, sacred, and filled with compassion.

My journey into this realm began six years ago —realistically it was a birthright… But I digress. In 2019, after seeing about five different PCPs and 20 or more “medical specialists”, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. To me, a 24-year-old with a toddler and plans for more children in the future, it felt like a death sentence. Especially when you hear “no cure”, “can lead to other life-threatening diseases”, or my personal favorite — “the only thing you/we can do is manage the symptoms”. I was devastated. I was exhausted 25/8, in horrendous amounts of pain, depressed, anxious, and the best part? Everyone around me thought I was faking it. Tests can only prove what it isn’t, not what it is. I felt so alone, lost, scared, and like God was playing a sick joke on me. My life had just truly started, how could this be my reality? So I did what the doctors recommended: I tried nerve blockers, muscle relaxers, more movement, less movement, therapy, diet changes, almost everything you can think of. Except nothing was helping, and most of it only made things worse. It wasn’t until after I had my daughter in late 2020, that I really started researching “outside of the box”.

At this point, I had two options; give up on ever getting to really enjoy my life and just survive, or try the unorthodox. One thing you’ll learn about me through our time together is that I am no quitter! Unorthodox it was!

I started out learning Shadow Work. I learned to integrate the shadows into my lessons and even took the knowledge I already had about psychology and applied all of that to my own inner-self. The shadow work led to holistic healing medicine (teas, tinctures, acupuncture, ect.), which moved into sound healing. Now, sound healing is where my healing journey took a huge turn in the right direction. While taking courses to become a sound healer, I learned about the chakra system. As I dove into the chakras, I started noticing something about myself. I was healing. And not for a few hours or days— but every day I was feeling better and better, in my mind, my body and my spirit.

What really pushed me to pursue this as a career was the way people in my life came to me during and after my transformation. They wanted me to help them! At first, I would just offer my help, being that I genuinely love seeing people that I love thrive. But as I did that, I noticed my life falling out of balance. Giving more than I was receiving. And that is what pushed me into life coaching. I had the knowledge, the ability to communicate it, the practice, and the desire to see people grow and thrive. Now it was time to balance the giving with the receiving. As you can probably guess by now, all of what I do for “work” at this point, is all things that I was led to, lived through, grew through, and researched further. Now, I am certified as a life coach, I’ve taken multiple courses, as well as being certified as a sound healer. I’ve also taken courses on the chakra system, read many a book, and even created my own chakra beginner course and shadow work class. But I would be 100% lying to you if I said that those courses are what make me a great coach— because what makes me a great coach is what I learned through real life experience, and the human I became because of those experiences.
